CardMaker Magazine Project - November 2013 Issue

If you've come here from CardMaker magazine, welcome! This is where you will find the instructions for the card in the November Special Issue of CardMaker Magazine. Thumbnail links to the products used are at the bottom of this page.

Card Project

  1. Using Spellbinders Filigree Delights, die cut the filigree border and one oval ornament using plain white cardstock and one oval ornament from burgundy cardstock. Use The large oval from the Filigree Delights to cut lightly patterned decorative paper.   Using Spellbinders Grand Ovals, diecut one small oval from burgundy cardstock. Cut one strip of burgundy cardstock measuring 7-1/2" x 3-7/8"
  2. Score and fold burgundy cardstock 5" from one end, creating a small "flap". Score and fold filigree border diecut in half. Attach the back of the top half of the filigree border diecut to the "flap" of the folded burgundy cardstock.
  3. Stamp Hold On To the Spirit of Christmas onto the lightly patterned decorative paper using VersaFine Crimson. Use Pop Dots to center and attach this to the larger burgundy Oval.  Attach burgundy oval ornament to the top back of the burgundy oval as shown in photo to create an assemblage.
  4. Attach the bottom half of the burgundy oval assemblage to the bottom half of the folded filigree border.
  5. Attach the plain white oval ornament to the inside of the card so the tip is aligned with the center edge of the card. Round the corners of the burgundy cardstock
  6. To hold the card in it's easel position, add a decorative pearl.  Attach a bow as shown.
