Here is a little information about the copper.

This is real copper! Buying copper can be very confusing because it can be sold in mils, gauge or by weight! I hope this little table will help alleviate your confusion!

This particular table is for sheet Copper. The higher the gauge number, the thinner the metal....
		Copper Leaf	used for "gilding". Your breath will cause it to fold over on itself!!
.001" thick	1 mil		Is like a very thin foil. It will not hold its shape. Can be torn by hand and wrinkles.
.003 thick	3 mil	40-42 gauge	Is like a heavy foil. It dents easily, but it very easy to handle.
.005" thick	5 mil	36 gauge	The 5 mil copper is approximately 7 - 8 times thicker than typical household aluminum foil. It weighs approximately 3.74 ounces per square foot. 5 mil copper is traditional tooling copper foil. It can be easily cut with scissors and is extremely pliable and will dent. It will not hold shape if under pressure. 5 mil copper sheets and rolls are often used for embossing, repousse, tags, die-cuts and other craft projects as well as for various home improvement projects and construction, electrical, manufacturing and other applications.
.032" thick		20 gauge	This is the thickness of the book covers I use for teaching the Copper book. Must be cut with a jewellers saw, shears, plough..... It can be drilled very easily and etches really well (it won't completely dissolve easily!!)

USE CAUTION WHEN HANDLING COPPER!
The edges are sharp!!
